One of our team members, Kei Otsuki, co-author in the Green Hydrogen report, recently participated in an interview for the Deep Transitions Lab. The interview ”The Promises and challenges of green hydrogen in the Global South” highlights several key points regarding the challenges and considerations surrounding the transition to green hydrogen (GH2) and its social dimensions that are touched upon in the GH2 report.

In her conversation Kei Otsuki discusses how many current transition strategies for green hydrogen overlook the social dimensions involved in this process, the barriers for the success of GH2 projects, the issues with training and employment of people for this rising sector, among other topics. The interview also goes through questions about what is how much is known about gender discussion in sustainability transitions? What are the risks of green colonialism?
